Overview
FocusPause is a focus management app that helps you practice mindful breathing and clarify your purpose before opening selected apps. We take your privacy seriously.
Data collection and storage
- All data is stored locally on your device using Core Data.
- We do not operate servers and do not collect, upload, or store personal data.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
Types of locally stored data
- Configured monitored app information (app identifiers).
- Purpose options, including custom text you create.
- Focus session records, including start time, end time, and intended duration.
- Interception event records, including timestamp and trigger source.
Screen Time API and FamilyControls
- Screen Time data is managed by iOS; FocusPause cannot access the content of other apps.
- FamilyControls authorization is used to set app usage restrictions.
- Related data is shared between the app and its extensions through an App Group and does not leave your device.
Shortcuts integration
FocusPause uses Apple Shortcuts to start its pre-open flow. Shortcut execution happens entirely on your device and does not involve network communication.
Subscriptions and payments
- We do not collect or store payment information.
- Subscription status is verified through Apple StoreKit.
- Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
FocusPause is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
